Fire Warden Training

The aim of this course is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of how to recognise emergencies in the workplace, to report emergencies and to take appropriate action, accurately identify fire safety equipment and systems and their function and demonstrate the use of portable fire extinguishers, fire hose reels and fire blankets.

Who should attend?

This course applies to individuals to all personnel within an organisation, within all industries and in all contexts

Course Objectives and Content

  • This unit places responsibility on individual employees in the workplace to recognise, report and take action during workplace emergency situations.
  • Supports individuals responsible for interacting with customers as a representative of their organisation, discussing fire protection service needs for a variety of equipment and systems and referring customers to senior staff in the organisation for further consultation if necessary.
  • Fire protection equipment service technicians responsible for demonstrating to customers how to interpret and follow manufacturers instructions on various first attack firefighting equipment in emergency situations.

Qualifications for successful students

Statement of Attainment in:
CPPFES2004A – Identify types of installed fire safety equipment and systems
CPPFES2005A – Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment
PUAWER004B – Respond to workplace emergencies

What do I bring?

All necessary equipment and learning materials will be provided. Morning tea will also be provided on the day of training.

Where can I Train?

Training can be conducted in one of our dedicated state of the art training facilities or be conducted on your site.

Assessments are made against units of competency.
